Brookhaven National Laboratory is running a LSAMP funded Scientific Computing course this summer and we are looking for your help in reaching out to your LSAMP students in all fields of science. This program will introduce students to techniques on solving science problems using costume code to create computer simulations and modeling. Unlike traditional coding courses this internship will focus on science problems that can be solved by a computer, no prior computer science experience is needed (preference will go to non computer science majors).
This internship will be hosted from July 20 – August 10, and is limited to 20 students. Successfully accepted students will be funded by LSAMP with travel and housing to Brookhaven National Laboratory and will receive a $500 per week stipend. Food and other expenses will be the responsibility of the student.
Students who are interested in the program should apply to the following link. https://www.portaltodiscovery.org/scicomp/uscicomp101.htm
