Dr. Natalia von EllenriederDr. Natalia von Ellenrieder is currently a senior insect biosystematist at the Plant Pest Diagnostic Center, Entomology Laboratory, California Department of Food and Agriculture. She obtained her Ph.D. degree with emphasis on Natural Sciences and Entomology, from the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Argentina. Her research is focused on the systematics of Odonata, with emphasis on the Neotropical fauna. She has over 100 publications on Odonata, including three books and various book chapters. Her current research is focused on the genus Protoneura, which currently lacks appropriate keys and illustrations for all described species. She is also member of the Editorial Board and Assistant Editor for the International Journal of Odonatology and subject Editor for Neotropical Odonata of the journal Zookeys. Dr. Rosser Garrison is currently senior insect biosystematist at the Plant Pest Diagnostic Center, Entomology Laboratory, California Department of Food and Agriculture. He obtained his Ph.D. degree with emphasis on Entomology at University of California, Berkeley. He has a long career in research on Odonata, with over 80 publications on the group, including various books and book chapters. He is currently working on the genus Argia, the most speciose and complex of Odonata in the Neotropical region. The late Leonora K. Gloyd began to work with this genus over 60 years ago, but never completed her studies. Dr. Garrison is currently working on a synopsis of the Neotropical components of the genus. He has been able to examine all described species, verify their identity with type material, and is in the process of illustrating all species.
