Step 1

Login to your Profile (see How to login into the E-Registration System (Student))

Note: If your Profile is more than 3 months old, the system will ask you to “Update” your information. Just check all fields and make changes, if necessary. Then click “Update Profile” to continue to your Home Page



Step 2

On your Home Page, look for the “MENTOR” section

  • If it is green, do not proceed, you are OK – mentor has confirmed you as his/her mentee.
  • If it is yellow, you must ask your mentor to enter to his home page on our system and accept you.
  • If it is red (look image below) - You need to add a mentor. Go to Step 3.

To add a mentor, click on the “Add Mentor” button – (see red arrow, above image)

When the next page appears, select the institution of your mentor (see below image)

NOTE: If your institution does not appear on the list please contact: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.



Step 5

When you select your mentor’s institution, a new list will appear, click it to select your mentor (see below image):

NOTE: Only registered mentors appear in the list. If your mentor does not appear in the list, you should ask your mentor to enter the PR-LSAMP Faculty Registration page and create a profile.



Step 6

After selecting your mentor’s name in the list, click “Add Mentor” button.



Step 7

After you have finished, the following green message will appear in your Home Page:

Note that the “Your Mentor” section is yellow. This means that your mentor needs to confirm that you are actually his/her mentee. You need to ask your mentor to login into our system and accept you as his/her mentee.

IMPORTANT: You cannot register on any PR-LSAMP activity until your mentor accepts you!

When your mentor accepts you as his/her mentee, your “Home Page" will look like this:

Note that “Your Mentor” section is now green.

You can now register into any available PR-LSAMP activity (for an example, see How to Register into Undergraduate Research Activity)
